Meet the Team

Meet Lauren, Zevero's Product Manager and someone who's spent the last decade figuring out how to turn complex problems into digital solutions people actually want to use. She's worked across finance, agency life, and now sustainability tech, bringing a wide lens to a single mission. We sat down with her to find out what drew her to Zevero, how she thinks about product (and emissions data), and what she's cooking for dinner.
Tell us a bit about your background.
- I’ve spent the last ten years working in digital transformation. Moving from Data Insights and Analytics, through Delivery Management before transitioning into Product Management. The early part of this career was in within Finance before moving into a Digital Agency, where I worked across many industries on many interesting and diverse products. Almost two years ago I joined Zevero and have loved seeing our product and business grow.
Where are you from? Where are you located now?
- I was born in Bath and spent my childhood & teenage years in the South West of England. I moved to London at 21 to build my career and fell in love with the city - I’ve lived here ever since.
What inspired you to join Zevero?
- Working at an agency was fantastic for giving me a wide breadth of knowledge and experience, but I wanted to take those skills to a company with a vision I believed in, working on one product and turning the vision into a reality. Going to work every day and contributing to trying to reduce emissions and save the planet, definitely fits that criteria.
What’s your role at Zevero?
- I’m a Product Manager. Essentially it’s my job to be the voice of the customers (present and future) and the business, taking problems and working with our fantastic designer and software engineers to create the digital solution to those problems. I work with every department at Zevero, as well as engage with our customers to help develop product requirements and prioritise our delivery roadmap.
What’s one project or moment at Zevero that you’re particularly proud of?
- I can’t choose one - but every month that passes I become more proud of our amazing team and the lengths they go to to ensure we hit our goals.
What’s a skill, mindset, or habit that helps you succeed in your role?
- There is no one ‘smartest person in the room’. Everyone has different experiences and perspectives, allowing people to speak and encouraging conversation, brings out better insights from everyone and leads to stronger solutions.
What’s a small but powerful sustainability practice you think every organisation should adopt?
- Assigning a named owner to emissions data not a sustainability team collectively, but one person who is accountable for the accuracy of carbon numbers the way a CFO is accountable for financials. Most organisations treat their emissions data as a reporting exercise rather than an asset. Putting a single owner on it, the data quality should improve, gaps are easier to fix proactively, and sustainability stops sitting in a silo. This ownership helps accountability and driving cultural change.
What’s one misconception about sustainability you find yourself correcting often?
- That reducing emissions is in tension with growth. The assumption tends to be that decarbonising means constraining the business. The reality is almost always the opposite. When companies go through the process of properly mapping their emissions, they almost always uncover operational inefficiencies, supply chain risks, and cost savings they weren't aware of.
What’s something about you that people might not expect?
- I have two different sized feet - one is a size 4 and one is a size 6 💀
What’s your go-to coffee/matcha order?
- Iced, oat, vanilla latte ☕
If you weren’t doing your current job, what would you be doing instead?
- I’d love to be a chef. Cooking soothes me. And I just love food.
What's one song that always boosts your mood?
- Blame It On the Boogie - Jackson Five
Outside of work, what do you love spending time on?
- I have two dogs and love spending time taking them on walks around North London’s wonderful parks and pubs. 🐕
What’s a book, podcast, or film that changed how you think about something?
- Dopamine Nation - Anna Lembke, M.D
