When I was at University (I went to the University of Surrey and read Economics), I did a placement year at a bank and realised this wasn’t something I was passionate about.
When I went back to University to finish my degree, we could pick one co-curricular module outside of our degree, which was sustainability, this is what ultimately inspired me to go into it as a career path.
In my current role as a carbon consultant I enjoy the diversity of the role. I get to work with our customers and on our business offering. It’s fun to work across the different sides of the business, especially when both our Co-Founders, Ben and George, are open to new ideas and encouraging an evolving office culture.
My personal highlight has been leading one-on-one calls with our customers and getting to know them.
I recently started to learn pottery, and I now do that every Wednesday. Right now, this is the highlight of my week! It's been really nice to have a creative hobby outside of work.
Slow factory’s motto - “everything you make returns to earth as either food or poison.”
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - I'm not a big nonfiction reader, I appreciate how fiction books can be very much applicable to real life.
In Sixth form I worked at M&S. Having that job definitely made me a better customer, you understand how difficult retail assistant jobs are when you work them!
I recently started running, so you can find me in my local park. For now, I am just running as a way to get out of the house with no purpose.
London bookshops and pizza - seemingly topics I’m very knowledgeable about according to my Zevero colleagues!
Working with one of our clients - Calendar Coffee - a fantastic coffee roastery and brand in Ireland that's building a better future for coffee.
We worked on their third year carbon footprint - it has been fun getting into their data, understanding their supply chain and finding ways to reduce their carbon emissions.
