The EU’s sustainability reporting landscape is undergoing its most significant transformation since the adoption of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
On 31 July 2025, EFRAG published simplified exposure drafts of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), cutting mandatory datapoints by more than 50%, eliminating all voluntary disclosures, and introducing a streamlined structure aligned with global frameworks. At the same time, the European Commission has confirmed adjustments to the CSRD reporting timeline and formally endorsed the new Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME), offering a practical and proportionate approach to ESG disclosures for smaller enterprises.
But what does this mean for your organisation? The impact extends beyond the EU, with global business—connected through supply chains, investors, and international reporting standards—set to feel the ripple effects. These changes will shape how organisations worldwide measure, report, and act on sustainability.
In this session, Zevero’s experts unpack the latest developments, examine the implications for companies of all sizes, and share practical guidance on how to adapt your reporting strategy.
What you’ll learn:
✔️ Key changes in the ESRS drafts, and why they matter
✔️ How to navigate the revised materiality assessment
✔️ Global implications: interoperability and supply chain expectations
✔️ What the updated CSRD timeline means for your organisation
✔️ The role of VSME for SMEs and their stakeholders
