When I was about 10 years old I saw a segment on CBBC's Newsround about Greenhouse gases and global warming. It inspired me to learn more about the issue and what could be done to avoid it. Ultimately leading me to get an undergrad degree in Environmental Management & Sustainability at UWE in Bristol. I graduated way back in 2007 and have tried to dedicate my career to the challenge ever since
The sheer variety of things I get to work on and provide input on. I also love connecting with companies to understand if Zevero can help support their climate action plans. The biscuits at our London office are a close 2nd.
Blowing a raspberry at my 6 month old son (Ace) and getting a big giggle and a smile back. There's no replacement for the unfiltered joy of a baby :)
"If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail" Benjamin Franklin
The most memorable book of recent years I have read is Ducks, Newburyport by Lucy Ellman. It's 1,000 pages and the whole book is one long sentence, it's a literary tour de force. I always read the winning book of the Goldsmith's prize each year which is awarded to authors who "break the mould or extend the possibilities of the novel form."
I was raised in a small seaside town in Dorset and did a myriad of part time jobs growing up. My very first was probably a paper round. I started every day at 630am before school and rode my bike around the town delivering newspapers. The Saturday supplements nearly broke my back :/
Recently it has been in my local swimming pool with Ace getting him used to the water. He is in a class called Turtle Tots, it's so much fun
I am a huge fan of the rock band, Placebo, I know their back catalogue incredibly well.
There's so many! If I had to pick one it's probably providing input on our new website which will be hitting your browsers soon (you heard it here first!).
